Here and Now: Chan, Doucette, Harper and Patterson

The Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design and the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia are pleased to present the new exhibition Here and Now: Chan, Doucette, Harper, and Patterson. This exhibition showcases work by four young artists in the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia’s permanent collection: Lucie Chan, Mario Doucette, David R. Harper, and Graeme Patterson.

Designed with the Cape Breton Center for Craft and Design in mind, Here and Now engages audiences of all ages, and highlights artwork that crosses craft boundaries. With special thought given to young audiences in the region, the four artists included in this exhibition explore local and global issues through drawings, projections, sculpture and paintings. These four accomplished artists bring a fresh and vital voice to the visual arts in Canada, and each calls Atlantic Canada home.

The exhibition is can be seen, from March 21st to June 20th 2009, at the Third Floor Loft of the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design, 322 Charlotte Street, Sydney, Nova Scotia. For more information email info@capebretoncraft.com.
